“Fear Knots? Or ‘Fear Nots’” (Me…A Missionary)

Renewing friendships, making new friends, coffee, Italian sodas, snacks, prayer partners, Bible Studies, Mission speaker, Worship, tying fleece blankets, making witness bracelets, cutting, sewing, music, talent show. All of this was part of the 2011 LWML Women’s retreat held at the Chieftain Motel in Carrington this past September. Seventy women and two husbands and two toddlers attended the retreat. Pastor Suelzle guided the participants to look at scripture and realize that God’s “Fear Nots” will help us to deal with our “Fear Knots”.
Speaker Maggie Karner from the LWMS World Relief and Human Care shared about the many needs of people throughout the world and how our church is reaching out to them. A helping hands workshop provided opportunity visit and share as they worked at various projects. Saturday evening was a time for fun and fellowship with a White Elephant game and talent show. Talent! Wow, have we got it in the ND LWML. Sketches and readings brought much joy and laughter.
